With the lead up to Brighton Fringe on our minds, we thought it was only right to feature another Brighton based talent this week. Jenny King is a local embroiderer and textile designer working in the uk fashion industry.
Jenny has sold her own designs to the likes of Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, Armani, Donna Karan, Diane Von Furstenberg, Topshop, BCBG Max Azria, Whistles and Banana Republic.
Jenny Employs a team of embroiderers in her studio and produces a high standard of work to her clients.
What makes Jenny’s work stand out from the crowd is her unusual and modern use of embroidery, with her feather like detail and bright coloured patterns. Jenny’s work hints at florals and geometrics in her own individual way and we are particulary fond of the work she produces.
Jenny will be offering some interective art on the 11th of May at Beyond Retro as part of Brighton Fringe, where she will be turning your chosen tattoo into an embroidered design on a garment of your choice using 1950’s machines in store.
