Tomorrow is the launch night of Lines and Strokes. Lines and Strokes was founded by Scott Blows AKA Panda Robot. Perhaps frustrated with the lack of avenues for illustrators and artists to sell their art in open spaces, he approached a Brighton venue, Sticky Mikes Frog Bar with his event and gallery idea. 7.30pm start tomorrow.
“Lines & Strokes is the new home for local Brighton illustrators/artists/painters to get their work shown & sell their prints. Occurs every 2 months!” – Scott Blows
All illustrators / artists featured in this first event will be able to sell their prints in the Pop Up Print Shop with all profits going directly to said illustrator with no commission taken. Sounds like a dream for any creatives who’d like to get their work out there. If you’re looking for a unique Christmas gift, this should be a damn good place to look.
The first event features work from Will Blood, Pandarobot, Lloyd Stratton, Kerry Beall and our own Emilie Lashmar. All 5 have very different styles of work, so expect to see a wide range of different art. Something for everyone. Not only will you have some creative pieces to gaze upon there will also be some FREE KRAKEN RUM COCKTAILS – look out for the vouchers being given out.
Here’s a few chosen pieces from the artists to showcase tomorrow evening:
WILL BLOOD
PANDA ROBOT
KERRY BEAL
EMILIE LASHMAR
We can’t wait to see you all there, great art, free rum cocktails, awesome venue with DJ, Eddie Goatman – the recipe to a fun packed evening. If you hadn’t guessed, we’re really looking forward to it.
Emilie & Jen
